Eligibility
- Open to developers, designers, entrepreneurs, and Bitcoin enthusiasts worldwide.
- Participants must be 18+ years old or have parental/legal guardian consent.
- Teams can have up to 5 members. Solo participation is allowed.
- Projects must be built during the hackathon period—no pre-existing projects.
- Participants must adhere to BTC Denver’s Code of Conduct.
Project and Submission Requirements
To be eligible for judging, your submission must include:

Working Prototype or Demo. A functional MVP (Minimum Viable Product)—even if it's an early-stage version. If live deployment isn’t possible, a video walkthrough.

Code Repository
A GitHub link with clean and well-documented code.
Open-source submissions are encouraged.

Technical & Functional Overview
A short document explaining:
- The problem & solution
- The tech stack, APIs, and tools used
- How Bitcoin technology (ordinals, Lightning, Taproot, etc.) is integrated

Pitch Deck (Optional but Recommended)
A simple 3-5 slide deck summarizing:
- The problem
- The solution
- Potential impact & future roadmap
Prizes
Bounties range from 3-10k each in BTC and will be announced on our official Twitter @BTCyouthere
Judging Criteria and Winner Selection
Projects will be evaluated based on the following criteria:
- Innovation & Creativity – Is the idea unique and impactful?
- Technical Execution – How well is it built? Is it functional?
- Bitcoin Integration – How effectively does it leverage Bitcoin technology?
- Usability & Adoption Potential – Is it user-friendly and practical?
- Presentation & Demo – How well is it explained and showcased?
The top projects will be invited to pitch live at BTC Denver, where a panel of industry experts and investors will select the winners.
